EA took the stage at Sony’s E3 Press Conference and announced 2 Limited Edition versions of their upcoming blockbusters, exclusive to the PS3.
Medal of Honor will include a remastered version of the PS2 hit Medal of Honor: Frontline.
Dead Space 2 will come with the HD remastered Dead Space: Extraction (originally a Wii Exclusive) and will feature PlayStation Move support.
Medal of Honor is set to hit store shelves on October 12.

Following up on a year of success for the PlayStation Brand, with products such as the PS3 Slim and PSP Go shipping out from Sony. With major exclusives such as Demon’s Souls, Heavy Rain, ModNation Racers and God of War 3 in gamer’s hands this past year. The recently announced KILLZONE 3,the upcoming GRAN TURISMO 5, SOCOM 4 and a slew of unannounced titles to be unveiled on June 15th.
Sony is preparing to wow us all as they did last year @ E3, with MAG and God of War 3 gameplay and the unveiling of PLAYSTATION MOVE .
2010 is the year of motion control and 3D gaming and Sony will be sure to make these 2 an integral part of their upcoming conference.

Another totally funny advertisement from Sony’s VP of every and anything.
Based on the content of the video, I’d say there’s a possibility that Jerry Lambert,who plays Butler, may make an appearance at E32010. Tretton could use his presence in some form at the event to maybe surprise the crowd. Judging from the advertisment again, if there isn’t another advertisement with Butler on ‘Man Furismo Jive’ anytime between now and June 15th, he might just interrupt Mr. Yamauchi at the press conference!
Rockstar’s latest open-world game is the western themed Red Dead Redemption.

The game uses an open-world to tell its story similar to previous Rockstar games such as the popular Grand Theft Auto series. It has a fully working eco-system with about 40 different species of fauna to hunt and skin. The game has a ton of cool trophies and exclusive PS3 content, including rewards to unlock for PlayStation Home.
There is too much to be said about this game that I’ll just leave you to this launch trailer and some impressive game review sites. The game was released on the 18th May 2010.

After a day of frustration, rage and worry about today’s PSN crash, the network is finally back online.

On Sunday 28th February, the PSN became inaccessable and gamers were shown a 8001050F Error code display. A quick search of this code revealed that the entire world of PS3 users, excluding the PS3 Slim users, suffered a similar fate.
It was revealed that the error was caused by the fat-systems’ internal clock treating 2010 as a leap year.

During this temporary crisis, Sony announced that PS3 users must not use the console until after word of the fix or else…”or else” meant possible loss of data etc. I have just had experience of this “or else” but in a minor form which I will describe in the forums here.
So, yes Trinidad and Tobago…it should be safe to turn on your PS3 (but I take no account for anything that may happen =P).
Ok really, you may have gotten excited for some rain in T&T as we’re experiencing a drought, but something better than rain comes in the form of PS3 Exclusive “Heavy Rain”.
Heavy Rain is a breakthrough title bringing forth a new genre of games and a new way to interact with video games as an entertainment medium.
Where every decision in the game changes the story, where if you die the story continues and morph’s around your death, where emotion of the characters and decisions affect you emotionally, where hollywood cinema meets gaming…. We can go on and on praising this game in so many regards.
Clearly the reviews speak for themselves with Heavy Rain claiming many high review scores and many perfect.

Sony and PlayStation continues to push boundaries for Gaming and finally after 3 years and a rocky first year start, PS3 is getting the recognition it so deserves.
With exclusives like Killzone 2, inFAMOUS, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, MAG, HEAVY RAIN, God of War Collection & God of War 3 to name a few and also multiplatform titles Bioshock 2, Dante’s Inferno, Modern Warfare 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, FINAL FANTASY XIII and Tekken 6, again naming a few, it is crystal clear which is the superior console and platform for gaming.

Additionally 2010 may also see the introduction of premium services to the PlayStation Network such as “Cloud Storage” of game saves (where your save files are sycned with Sony’s servers and if the console fails, can be recovered by downloading) amongst dozens of other features.
Playstation Network has also brought forward a free weekly TV show for its members in the form of The TESTER, which premiered on the Playstation Network last week.
With Heavy Rain to wet our appetite before March’s FINAL FANTASY XIII, and GOD OF WAR 3,

Heavy Rain is in stores today in the US and select local stores. Expect Heavy Rain to be in most stores by next week.
This game is shaping up to be one of the most original, interactive-story experience this year and is due for release on February 23rd. It has similarities to a film-noir thriller and somehow reminds me of Silence of the Lambs.
The mall-scene gameplay above can only get you excited so much (and annoyed at ‘Jason’). That is why there is the news of a demo that will be released on the PSN come February 11th. The demo contains 2 chapters; one featuring FBI agent Norman Jayden attempting to track down the Origami Killer, the other on Scott Shelby, PI.

This past Thursday, the Playstation Store was updated with a free application called “adhocParty”. This is an amazing application that allows you to play PSP Games that don’t support online play….online! Ok so before I go further on how awesome this is, here’s what you need:
This September October will be a very interesting time to be in PlayStation Home as version 1.3 will be released the first day of that month. Now, it should be noted that this will be a very serious update which will bring some major requested features to the PlayStation Network community. Features like:

There will also be fixes, additions and optimisations in the update, and judging by the major features above, there certainly will be lots for everyone to enjoy in Home come September October.

Although there weren’t many major surprises at Sony’s E3 press conference this year (thanks to several pre-E3 leaks), the company managed to impress the audience with its future line-up of quality titles for both the PS3 and PSP. While Sony was proud to showcase trailers and live demos of its superior exclusives, the PSP Go! (aka ‘the worst kept secret of E3‘) was the highlight of the show.
Kaz Hirai, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., officially announced that the PSP Go! will not replace the current PSP-3000 model but will stand alongside it when it is released on Oct. 1st 2009. This new model is 15% lighter and 43% smaller than the PSP-3000 and utilises a sliding screen that covers the face buttons. Although the UMD drive has been removed, it promotes the feature of direct downloads from the PSStore and the new Media Go! which will replace the previous Media Manager. Kaz stated that this does not mean the UMD format will become obsolete as it will still be sold.

The day before, Microsoft was proud to show a tech demo of their Project Natal motion-sensing and voice-recognition camera. Sony made it known that they are also working on motion-sensing by use of a new prototype controller and the PS Eye. It wasn’t as impressive as Project Natal, but unique and interesting nonetheless. This motion controller is due for release in Spring 2010.
