Ok really, you may have gotten excited for some rain in T&T as we’re experiencing a drought, but something better than rain comes in the form of PS3 Exclusive “Heavy Rain”.
Heavy Rain is a breakthrough title bringing forth a new genre of games and a new way to interact with video games as an entertainment medium.
Where every decision in the game changes the story, where if you die the story continues and morph’s around your death, where emotion of the characters and decisions affect you emotionally, where hollywood cinema meets gaming…. We can go on and on praising this game in so many regards.
Clearly the reviews speak for themselves with Heavy Rain claiming many high review scores and many perfect.

Sony and PlayStation continues to push boundaries for Gaming and finally after 3 years and a rocky first year start, PS3 is getting the recognition it so deserves.
With exclusives like Killzone 2, inFAMOUS, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, MAG, HEAVY RAIN, God of War Collection & God of War 3 to name a few and also multiplatform titles Bioshock 2, Dante’s Inferno, Modern Warfare 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, FINAL FANTASY XIII and Tekken 6, again naming a few, it is crystal clear which is the superior console and platform for gaming.
PS3 has gone on to win mega-tech-blog Engadget’s Console of the Year and User Voted Home Entertainment Device of the year.
PS3 in the ratings has also received the most high quality games of 2009 amongst any platform.
If in the market for a Console, there should be no thought process but PlayStation.
2010 will push PS3 beyond imagination with Sony’s introduction of the Motion Controller and the introduction of 3D gaming to the masses in an upcoming Firmware Update.
Additionally 2010 may also see the introduction of premium services to the PlayStation Network such as “Cloud Storage” of game saves (where your save files are sycned with Sony’s servers and if the console fails, can be recovered by downloading) amongst dozens of other features.
Playstation Network has also brought forward a free weekly TV show for its members in the form of The TESTER, which premiered on the Playstation Network last week.
With Heavy Rain to wet our appetite before March’s FINAL FANTASY XIII, and GOD OF WAR 3,
we ask this question:
HOW MUCH MONEY WILL YOU SPEND FOR THE GAMING THAT YOU LOVE?
Heavy Rain is in stores today in the US and select local stores. Expect Heavy Rain to be in most stores by next week.

MAG, the 256 player game, that pits 128 vs 128 players in multiplayer comes to PS3 exclusively on Tuesday 26th January 2010.
An optional update for the PlayStation 3 is now out. (This means you manually go to “System Update” in your PS3 Settings to download it.)
Firmware 3.15 adds the ability to play PSP “Minis” on the console (cheap downloadable games originally psp exclusive).
The update also finally adds a long requested data transfer feature.
This feature allows a person with a second or new ps3, to connect that new ps3 to their old one via ethernet cable, and initiate a data transfer between them. This data transfer copies all the saved data, games, files and settings from the old system to the new one. The catch though is that any “Copy Protected” save files from the old ps3 will not “copy” to the new system, rather be “moved” to the new system. That means when the process is completed, the copy protected data will be deleted from the old ps3, but be present on the new ps3.
This patch is a big deal for many users that have experienced the Yellow Light of Death error and had their systems repaired. The data transfer gives certainty to users who invest in a new console to replace the old so that all their hard earned data is transferred to the new system.
Update is live, check it out and feedback is welcome!
Existing Qore subscribers and those who subscribe before December 15th will find an email in their inbox with an invite to the ModNation Racers Beta.
The voucher will be sent to the e-mail address tied to your PSN ID.

Yet another ad by Sony for the PS3 continuing their hilarious campaign this year. In my opinion this one isn’t as funny as the previous ones but the deal is unbelievable if you’re a US resident (or a Trini with US family visiting this holiday with space in their luggage
)

This is a public announcement regarding God of War: Collection on PS3. It appears that a large portion of users with first year 60gb PS3 consoles are having a freezing issue with the games God of War 1 and God of War 2 at various points, rendering the game unplayable.
If you have a 60gb console, we advise you not purchase this game and wait for the God of War: Collection development team to address the issue and/or release a patch.
Keep checking PSNTT and we’ll let you know when a patch will be out. Also let us know in the comments your experiences with God of War: Collection and if you have gotten the freezing issue.

This past Thursday, the Playstation Store was updated with a free application called “adhocParty”. This is an amazing application that allows you to play PSP Games that don’t support online play….online! Ok so before I go further on how awesome this is, here’s what you need:
- A PSP System or PSPgo
- A PS3 with Built-in Wi-Fi (Sorry 20GB owners!!)
- The PS3 must be connected to the internet via Ethernet Cable and not via Wi-Fi (If you use wi-fi to game online, you can’t use adhocParty)
- An Ad-Hoc supported PSP Game such as Gran Turismo (PSP).
The hilarious “It only does” campaign continues with this new jem:
