Square Enix has lifted the veil on an unexpected announcement early this morning.  Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be coming “Next Winter” with a story and battle system “evolved” from Final Fantasy XIII. These are the images revealed so far.
Expect Square to tease FF fans throughout the year. As for me, I still need to finish FFXIII :) .

And the reviews are SACKTACULAR!
Who’s getting the game with the most game genre’s in a single game?

This was quite a surprise.
It’s the future we all at some point imagined, where you buy a game in the store and are able to play it on all the platforms you have at no additional cost with cross platform communication.
Ok Ok, it not that great “yet” (sorry Xbox 360 owners).

Portal 2 (PS3) will ship with a steamplay license so that you can download the game on your Steam equipped PC. In addition to that, Portal 2 PC players will be able to communicate and play with the console players.
Also save files on PS3 will be stored on the Steam cloud service so that you never lose your saves if for some reason your PS3 gets toast.

GG Valve!
Here’s hoping more developers follow suit with this great initiative.

I think it’s safe to say that most gamers locally have at some point in their life played a Gran Turismo game. Pretty much anyone with a PS2 modified or legit has played the awesome that is Gran Turismo 3 and its sequel.
On Wednesday (24th), Gran Turismo 5 will be hitting storeshelves after being revealed 4 years ago. The game has over 1000 cars some with fully modeled interiors, nascar, a track editor, car damage (a first for the series), 16 player multiplayer support, splitscreen, custom soundtracks, psp and pspgo integration, gran turismo TV (streaming car shows etc.), full career mode, car customisation, 3D support, Move Support etc..etc..etc..

When you think about the best racing games of all time, you think Mario Kart, Need For Speed, Burnout and Forza. There remains one series that is the prestige of the genre, it is without a doubt the definitive Gran Turismo.
Fellow PSNTT members, race you soon in GT5!

Ghost of Sparta takes place in the time between God of War 1 & 2 and gives us greater insight into Kratos’s character and emotions.
The universal acclaim for this new psp title has been astounding. Simply take a look at the launch trailer below to see what we mean!
I’m definitely picking this up from the PlayStation Store for my PSP Go later today!

The masterminds to one of my personal favorite games, “Heavenly Sword” have created yet another critically acclaimed masterpiece “Enslaved: Odyssey to the West” and has already launched for PS3.
Released on Tuesday October 5th, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West puts the player in control of “Monkey” who by chance meets up with a technologically adept woman named “Trip”.
In a platformer, and hack and slash type gameplay style, Enslaved follows the story of these 2 individuals as they make their way home.

Download the demo from PlayStation Store today to start the epic journey of Monkey and Trip.
Also check out the great reviews this game is getting from your fave review source.

With talent like Andy Serkis (Gollum from Lord of the Rings) at the helm of this game, you can expect and epic thrill ride of emotion and ful-filment.

Hey we passed!

What were you expecting Sony to announce and are you dissapointed by what was?

As expected, Sony has partially unveiled the new Subscription based service for the PS3. This service will be “on top” of the current FREE PlayStation Network.
This is to clarify that everything you enjoy currently on the PSN will remain free.
For $49.99 USD per year, or $17.99 USD for 3 months, gamers will gain access to a one year Qore Subscription, exclusive beta access to select upcoming games, early access to demos and trials of major games such as inFAMOUS, free minis and occasional free PSN titles such as Wipeout HD which comes free with the first month’s subscription.
The service will offer gamers hundreds of dollars worth of content at a small price. This content will remain under your ownership for as long as your subscription is maintained.
Sony also announced that the first 3 months of the service will be free. It is unclear if the Service wil be free to all for the first 3 months, or that subscribers will gain an additional (first 3) months free, on top of their $49.99 payment.
PlayStation Plus is expected to go live later this month, and more details on the service and it features will be announced soon.
Cross game voice chat maybe? We’ll see.
